This handmade full silver Muramatsu Tsubasa headjoint with gold plated lip plate, riser, crown and interior is made entirely of Sterling silver (.925) underneath the gold plating and comes with two silver 'wings' rising from the lip-plate. The headjoint produces the famous Muramatsu sound, which many flutists immediately fall in love with: warm, velvety and rich. The Tsubasa wings enhance the clarity and  depth of the sound in comparison to the traditional style Muramatsu headjoint.

The gold plating on the lip plate, riser, crown and interior has a substantial and very positive effect on the sonics of the headjoint and therefore on the entire flute. The resulting sonority is large with extra robustness and a much more interesting tone palette.

Muramatsu was founded in 1923 in Japan by Koichi Muramatsu. It is still a family-owned business and is now managed by the third generation Muramatsu.
